कंदरिया महादेव का मंदिर मध्यकालीन भारतीय वास्तुकला का अद्भुत एवं भव्य निर्माण है, यह १००३ से १०३५ ईस्वी के मध्य बनवाया गया था जब खजुराहो चंदेल राजवंशो की राजधानी हुआ करती थी और इस मंदिर को चंदेल राजा विद्याधरा के कार्यकाल में बनवाया गया था यह मंदिर पूर्णतया भगवान शिवजी को समर्पित है।
